Hi my friends, is a Dedicated Server really necessary for a server or a good VPS can be enough?

The main players interations are directly with the gameserver, maybe 80% ( Walk, Trade, Talk, Buy, Sell, Missions, Npc Talk... ). The GameServer only needs to query or save something there database when player enters game, leave, teleports to another gameserver... @Shako

Means the same lag to Login, Logout, Teleport...

The lag will only be reduced in gameserver interations. The only one who will be local. GameServer volatile interations means a lot. @Shako

Its possible to connect to a remote database, you just need to open the port 1433 ( MSSQL Port ), and point your game servers to the public ip of the database server

Hi my friends, Im about to open my server, is almost everything done. Im planning to start a beta test before an grand opening, but i dont know exactly how to do... I mean what can i do for the beta testers? How can i reward them and must i reset the server after the beta period?

the answer is in tables ( StoreInfo and ItemInfo ), they're linked... StoreInfo rows refers to a group of itens 1 Package Gem ItemInfo rows refers to a group 1 Gem of Rage 1 Gem of Collossus
