Totoka 152 Report post Posted November 17, 2016 It is possible, there are several ways to do it app: create an infinite loop at your `application` within this loop, check for a flag value at some address, and to do not stress the cpu, call an Sleep 1 patcher: once you launch your app, be sure to write this remote address flag value to 1 then ~ whala ~, you got your app running from your launcher only, at least until someone else get this `trick` within your files =) you could also do it more complex within threads and stuff like that, but not necessary Quote Discord: andresc

Every time they load of the launcher they are forced to vote? Personally I think it would be better for your players if they weren't forced to vote... Why not just give them the option while it's loading, or on the launcher. Forcing someone to vote isn't going to work lmao
Vasil 71 Report post Posted November 17, 2016 Change in game.exe "startgame" to something else u want Exampe "egpko"

Make a connection with it through a custom launcher, change the startgame args even if its easy to figure it out they will still need the connection to be accepcted else you can't login . you need authentication via the firewall.

Make them use an auto patcher, that may (or may not) check client files for any altered effect or table bin.

Angelix 374 Report post Posted November 17, 2016 5 minutes ago, Shako said: and how may that work? There have been auto patchers that do checksums on the files and compare them to the checksum on the server, if they are not that same, then it will update them. That's how official did it. That can be avoided by accessing the client directly with the "startgame" command.

Angelix 374 Report post Posted November 17, 2016 Just now, Shako said: with some knowledge of hex-ing the effort will be gone. Like I said before, that may be or not be the point of him/her trying to remove that command, while most players don't know about hexing.
MonkeyCode 453 Report post Posted November 17, 2016 I said on another thread already but ill say here also. If Autopatcher can launch game, so will any other program. If a packet is sent to server for validation, I can simply "NOP" all other functionality that the patcher does. (checking files, etc), and keep that packet to verify login (thus autopatcher becomes useless) It is very hard to control what is being happened at client side, so i suggest don't bother. If players want to mod their client, let them do so. If you decide to do a big update and requires patcher. it's their lost, no? My answer: unless someone send me their patcher and I can't login without it, then I'll say otherwise. For now, all theories and mysteries
